THE EMPIRE STYLE. The Empire Style was developed in Europe during Napoleon Bonaparte's time. The Empire style can also be found in mahogany furniture, gilded bronze objects, ornaments and decor with eagles and sphinxes. The Empire Style could be found all through Europe, including Sweden, where it was generally less pompous than in France. Most chandeliers have the distinctive cascade of crystal on top. The Lancelot Collection has extraordinarily detailed rims, the Nobel Collection has rims with stamped brass ornaments, the Grand Collection has the most impressive chandeliers over 5 feet tall. The Angel Collection has beautiful angels on the rim. The Brilliant Collection has the detailed rims of the Lancelot collection but is pinned with a slightly lesser crystal quality, making them less expensive.
